Game Summary

Close game with the Splitters edging the Thunder.

On a beautiful day for baseball the Splitters and Thunder took the field at the Loyola Academy Sports Complex and battled with the Splitters barely coming out on top 3 to 2. The Splitters played excellent defense behind the solid pitching of Tony Spohn, Frank Frogel and Greg Kaczmarek who combined for 7 innings and 2 runs against the big hitting Thunder lineup.  In the 7th inning with the tying run on base Billy Neumann of the Thunder hit a line drive smash down the first base line which was caught by a diving Bob Bulgatz . Bob's spectacular diving catch helped to seal the win for the Splitters!
